Join Silver Spring Nursery School for a Winter Reading Challenge for kids ages 0 - 10! This event will help us connect as a community and encourage our kiddos to be life-long readers.

How To Participate

Email SSNS fundraising co-chair Amy Bodine to be added to the private FaceBook group, SSNS Winter Reading Challenge, where we will share our activities and join in interactive fun!

What The Winter Reading Challenge Includes

​

You can choose to participate in any or all of the activities below. 

​

1. A GAME BOARD! What preschooler doesn’t love a game? Print one of the game boards below, help your child choose a goal, and track your progress.

2. BOOK-INSPIRED ACTIVITIES! Encourage your kids to connect books to real life! Dress in costumes and act out a scene, create a recipe from your favorite story, or talk about how the characters might be feeling. Share your creations on the FaceBook page.
    

3. VIRTUAL STORY TIME! On the Facebook page, watch videos of the beloved SSNS Staff reading some of their favorite books!
    

4. PRIZES! Email a photo of your completed game board by January 31 to be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card!
